I knew the day would come, but I didn't think it would happen in Cooper's 19th month - his first laceration. Josh and I took Cooper to the ER Wednesday morning at 7 am after he cut himself just above his eyebrow. The sad part is, I didn't even see how it happened. When he left our den I thought he was running into our bedroom to get his daddy, but instead I heard him wail from our study where his "drawing" table is. I found him standing in the room with blood on the right side of his face. I swooped up Cooper and yelled for Josh. All I could do was hold Cooper and tell him he'd be alright...Josh thought quickly and gave Cooper some juice (which he loves) and that calmed him down. After wiping Cooper's face we knew he would probably need stitches. Thankfully, we were in and out of the ER in 45 minutes and the doctor was able to use Dermabond to seal his wound. Our little guy knows he has a boo-boo and he often checks out his cut with fascination in the mirror, but all is well now....until the next accident which hopefully is a long way off.

Poor Cooper! I'm glad there were no stitches - but still no fun at all. Give him a kiss for me and Keenan will too, the next time he see him.
