I'm enjoying a quiet morning by myself...all my loved ones are still sleeping. Cooper woke up crying at 5:30 and wanted to snuggle in his mommy and daddy's warm bed, but after an hour of trying to fall back asleep I decided to get up and start my morning. Caroline made a peep around 7 am, but she's still asleep. I never expected to have a baby that slept past 8 am:) Josh and I look forward to beginning our Christmas celebration today with a late lunch at his mom's house, followed by Prestonwood's Christmas Eve service - which is a beautiful worship service honoring the birth of Christ and I can't wait for all of us to sing his praises! Our family will come back to our house tonight for dessert and we plan to watch the movie, The Nativity Story. Nana and Aunt Laura Leigh are sports for their willingness to spend the night tonight (with some creative sleeping arrangements in our 3 bedroom house) and wake up with us for our first Christmas morning in our house. Later in the afternoon we'll drive to my parents' house for more Christmas with family.
Josh and I are extremely blessed in that our families blend so naturally ~ we all celebrate together and our families are so flexible with us. We're thankful for our two aunts, Laura Leigh from AL and Margie from NJ, who came in town to spend Christmas with us. We're thankful for our new baby girl, and our growing little boy, and our soon-to-be niece or nephew. Mostly, we're thankful for the birth of our savior, Jesus, who came to earth to live a sinless life and to die for our sins that we may spend eternity in heaven with Him. Merry Christmas!
