We've had such a fun month with our baby girl. She's becoming so vocal ~ communicating in her own way and laughing so loudly. She's especially ticklish in her stomach and on her sides and she also laughs when we open our mouths real wide:) Caroline is grabbing objects so well and putting them in her mouth. - Every day she gets more and more coordinated with this....I'm amused at how excited I get with these little milestones....I guess it's a parent thing:) She weighed 12 lbs, 10 oz on her 4 month birthday and she's measuring 25 inches.
I've learned a lesson this month, too: Never brag that your baby sleeps 12 hours a night - because she'll stop doing it! Caroline's sleep has been all over the clock this past month. Often she'll go to sleep for the night when I think I'm putting her down for her 3rd nap around 4 or 5 pm. I've tried waking her up to nurse her, but she will still wake up around 3 am regardless of a late night feeding. So, we're going to try a few things (including an early bedtime around 6 pm) to get her back into a better sleeping pattern. I welcome any advice in this area!
Despite these recent habits, I must say how sweet a feeling it is when I walk into her nursery after she's woken up from sleeping and she shows her excitement with smiles and kicking feet when I peak over at her in her crib. - Even if she's been fussing before I come into her room, she still smiles as soon as she sees me. Caroline, you're such a joy!

SUCH a beautiful girl! We are excited about her development, too. Brady will try to catch up fast so they can work on getting to know each other soon! ;)
