A Snowy Day

Caroline and I had a sweet morning together while Sarah Jane slept and while Cooper attended MDO today. Rarely do just she and I go play in the backyard without Big Brother. I delighted in watching our toddler prance around the backyard romping through the snow. She even tried to throw a snowball at me:) Isn't she the cutest thing with her snow cap and those round cheeks?!

Caroline has been a Mama's girl lately. I love that she has transformed into a cuddly daughter, but at times she can be down right difficult with tantrums and fits trying to get my attention. I'm sure this has much to do with her new baby sister and the fact that she's two. For me, one of the hardest jobs as a parent is knowing when just to give grace and when to firmly discipline. However, today was all joy.

Just two days ago Cooper said, "It's taking too long to turn into summer!" But, this morning he asked me, "Can we play in the snow?" I put Caroline and Sarah Jane down for their naps and then just he and I when outside for some fun. Playing in the snow with a 4-year-old boy is an entirely different experience from a dainty 2-year-old girl ~
Cooper likes to get his hands dirty. Today, he threw himself down in the snow - tackling our snowman and making himself some snow angels. He didn't mind that his jeans got soaking wet. I took him straight into a hot bath afterward!

Our little snow bunny all in white!
Baby girl is such a joy ~ we just love these gummy smiles:)
